Introduction

Our U18 Boys team is a competitive team that plays full-contact rugby. We focus on developing our players’ skills in all aspects of the game, including tackling, scrumming, rucking, and lineouts. As a part of the Junior Teams program, we are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for our players, where they can learn, grow, and have fun playing rugby.

In addition to developing our rugby skills, our team places a strong emphasis on personal growth and character development. We believe that rugby provides a unique opportunity to build self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that will serve us well both on and off the field. Our team is a safe and supportive community where we can challenge ourselves, make new friends, and have fun while learning and growing.

At Calgary Hornets Rugby, we believe that rugby is more than just a sport; it is a way of life. We emphasize the values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship on and off the field. We believe that these values are essential for your child’s personal and social development and will stay with them long after their rugby days are over.

Training and Games

Training starts June 17, 2024. Practices will take place Mondays and Thursdays at 9711 Academy Dr SE (Foundations for the Future Charter Academy). Games are generally once a week, on Wednesdays or Fridays. Most games will take place at the Calgary Rugby Union, 9025 Shepard Rd SE. 

Coaching and Support Staff

Our coaching and support staff are experienced and dedicated to helping our players reach their full potential. We focus on providing a positive and supportive environment for our players, where they can learn and grow as athletes and individuals.

Registration and Fees

To register for the Calgary Hornets U18 Boys Rugby Team, click on the "Register to Play" button on the top of this page. Our registration fees include access to all training sessions, games, and equipment needed to play. The fee for 2024 registration is $335.55, plus a website service fee. Financial assistance is available through KidSport Calgary for families who require it.
